PROJECTOR LAMPS DESIGN AND WORKING

Common Question : How are projector lights so bright and they don’t disturb oncoming traffic ?

The Answer lies in the below diagram.

A projector light has something called a beam cut off, so the light is concentrated towards the bottom half of the road where truly a driver needs to see. Hence having a very bright light it does not disturb the oncoming driver as the light is way below the eye level of the oncoming driver.

Reflector lights don’t have this and hence scatter light all over and due to the absence of a Lens, tend to have hot spots and dark spots of light.

Look at the below diagram.
