AUXILARY LIGHT UPGRADES & BASICS
Auxiliary lamps are mainly installed on SUVs. They though are rated mostly for off road purposes. These lamps can have various types of beams based on what kind of lights are installed. Today there is a wide variety of products available right from Halogen based to HID based to LED based auxiliary lamps.
The most cost effective branded lights with some serious brightness come from Hella. These are mostly halogen based. Some models can be retrofitted with HID / Led bulbs to enhance the brightness on the same.
Some premium brands are also available which have lighter housing weight and better technology like HID beam lights for Throw as well as spread or LED bar lights mainly for medium throw and spread.
NOTE: Installation os auxiliary lights need custom clamping job which has to be very durable and strong. Not many installers who do the clamping work in metal do a great job. We know few selected workshops that do a good job at a price. If the clamping is not done right, the entire investment of the Auxiliary lamp is a waste, as it keeps shaking while the car is driven causing loss of visibility and head aches for the driver at night.
